Join Manatee Lagoon’s Manatee Masters and an expert speaker for a lecture to learn about a new topic each month! Advance registration is recommended, although not required. This helps Manatee Lagoon with tracking the number of visitors we receive and plan for seating.

This month: Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Manatee Biologist Amber Howell will talk about her experience working with manatees, including the successful rescue of a manatee calf named “Tostone” who was rescued from Manatee Lagoon in 2019. She will also explain how researchers use photographs to identify and track manatees, and educate guests on what they can do to help identify and report an injured manatee.
